1964 Volvo 1800s. Fully Restored 6 years ago, and driven very little since then as I have been away at Medical School.
The Good: Nothing is wrong with the car, I have just decided I don't need a second car now that I am living in New Orleans. Everything works in the Volvo except for the odometer and the clock. When I restored it 6 years ago, I took everything down to bare metal, and completely removed every single part of the engine, transmission, rear end, and wiring harness. I then sanded it, primed it, painted it, replaced the entire suspension and electrical harness, rebuilt the motor, transmission, rear end, and overdrive, and then went through the entire thing with dynamat and new rubber. I also threw in a CD player for kicks.
The Bad: Nothing on this car is concourse. While I only was able to come home from school to drive it 1-2 months per year, I have in fact driven it. The engine burns 1/2 quart of oil every 4-5000 miles, the tires have plenty of miles on them, and the paint is worn. There are plenty of chips, scratches, etc. in the usual places. The glass was not replaced on the car, and the front right bullhorn was never replaced from before the restoration (it is slightly bent). There is also the small chrome clip on the front windshiled that cvers about 1 inch of the rubber.
I am trying to be as honest as possible, and if you look around you will not find a better 1800s at this price. Feel free to contact me if you would like to come take a look.
