Seller Comments: 1935 Packard Senior Super Eight 1205 Seven Passenger 854 Sedan #336 of 1392 This outstanding “Full Classic” was purchased new on August 14,1935 from the Earle C. Anthony Inc. Packard Dealership in Los Angles California (The Car Dealer to the Stars) by the infamous L.A. Chief of Police “James E. (Two Gun) Davis”. Yes, the same Police Chief depicted in Clint Eastwood’s movie “Changeling” staring Angelina Jolie. Upon the Chief’s death in 1949 his widow quickly realized the car was more than she could handle, placed the car in storage in LA, where it remained for 30 years. !n 1979 to settle his wife’s estate the car was sold to the second owner, a Kansas City, Mo. Insurance mogul. Immediately upon the purchase he immediately shipped the car to a renowned Packard restoration facility in Scottsdale Arizona for a frame off, every nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration at a cost exceeding $150,000 at today’s value. (see photo documentation) The car was enjoyed in his private collection until 1995 when the car was donated to a youth charity. The car was subsequently sold and held in a museum until sold in 2005 into another private museum collection.
