Packard Dealership in Los Angles California (The Car Dealer to the Stars) by the infamous L.A. Chief of Police “James E. (Two Gun) Davis”. Upon the Chief’s death in 1949 his widow quickly realized the car was more than she could handle, placed the car in storage in LA, where it remained for 30 years. !n 1979 to settle his wife’s estate the car was sold to the second owner, a Kansas City, Mo. Insurance mogul. Immediately upon the purchase he immediately shipped the car to a renowned Packard restoration facility in Scottsdale Arizona for a frame off, every nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration at a cost exceeding $150,000 at today’s value.
