1928 Ford Model A Phaeton Hot Rod
St. Louis Car Museum is proud to offer this 1928 Model-A Ford Phaeton Hotrod. The car looks like it just came out of a time capsule. It has the same paint, upholstery and top as it did when it was built in the 1950’s. The previous owners High School Mascot (Topeka Trojans) Sticker and College Mascot (Topeka Ichabods) Sticker are still on the rear window. A truly well preserved Hotrod!
This car was just purchased out of the previous owners estate where it sat for 50 plus years. The car was outfitted with a V-8 60HP Flathead and front hydraulic brakes. Green paint was applied along with custom upholstery. The body is rock solid with no evidence of rust anywhere. The car runs and drives good. The brakes are a little touchy and need adjustment. The water pumps leak a little also. The Ford V-8 60 motor still have a sticker on it showing it was rebuilt by a authorized Ford rebuilder. The engine is strong and goes down the road with ease.
The Model-A has 1937 Pontiac Silver Streak tail lights, accessory fender lights with BLC Headlights. Still running on its original Model-A wheels makes this car a real sleeper. No one knew or could tell what was under the hood. Enjoy this car at your local cruise nights and own a true historic nostalgic hot rod.
